1. General Survey Summary Seneca County lies in the heart of the New York Finger Lakes region. Specifically, the county lies between the two largest lakes: Lake Seneca and Lake Cayuga. The county is 35 miles north to south and approximately miles east to west (about square miles). This data set is a digital soil survey and generally is the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey.
